Starting in 2012 with five events, the number of events has steadily risen with eight held in 2013 and 2014, nine in 2015, ten in 2016, twelve in 2017, thirteen in both 2018 and 2019, and thirteen once more in 2020 (although that was reduced to four, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic), and only two events took place in 2021, with a return to thirteen events in 2022.

The 2023 PDC Pro Tour is the current series of non-televised darts tournaments organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). Players Championships and European Tour events are the events that make up the Pro Tour. There will be thirty Players Championship events and thirteen PDC European Tour events, as well as 24 events for the Challenge and Development Tours, and the Women's Series.[1]
Wright is proving to be difficult to beat. Whether he's averaging 95 or 110, he's a real pain and he very rarely has a bad leg. He doesn't seem to miss six darts at a double to let someone in. If he has a bad visit, it's normally a 60 or 97 - he is maybe more consistent.
I know Wright beat Van Gerwen 6-0 to claim the European Darts Grand Prix the other week, but the Dutchman wasn't at the races, his finishing was poor, and he doesn't normally under perform in championship finals. He's been in the final for the past four years - that's how difficult he is to beat - he's won two and lost two. 041b061a72
